Leah Martinsson joined Johnson & Repucci, LLP as an associate in 2006. Prior to joining Johnson & Repucci, Ms. Martinsson practiced law at Holland & Hart from 2001 to 2006. Ms. Martinsson's practice emphasizes water rights and natural resources permitting. Ms. Martinsson assists clients in the adjudication of water rights, changes of water rights, and plans for augmentation. She also has experience in the evaluation, assessment, and conveyancing of water rights.

In addition to her water rights practice, Ms. Martinsson advises clients in the environmental permitting aspects of project development and development activities on both public and private lands, including compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act and Endangered Species Act. She also has experience handling wetlands and cultural resources issues associated with project development.

While in law school, Ms. Martinsson was a research assistant for Professor David Getches and Professor James Corbridge, focusing primarily on Colorado water law issues. She served on the editorial board for the Colorado Journal of International Environmental Law & Policy and on the board of the Environmental Law Society. Ms. Martinsson worked as a summer associate in the Denver office of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene, & MacRae, LLP. Additionally, she served as an intern at the National Wildlife Federation and the Denver City Attorney's Office, Land Use Division, during law school.

Ms. Martinsson serves on the City of Boulder's Environmental Advisory Board and is a member of the American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, and Boulder County Bar Association.
