Kimberly Lord focuses her practice primarily in the areas of litigation with an emphasis in general commercial disputes and real estate matters, transactional real estate matters and land use.   Prior to joining Johnson & Repucci, Ms. Lord practiced with the Denver firm of Silver & DeBoskey for six years and with the Denver office of Morrison & Foerster for nearly five years.  Throughout her practice, Ms. Lord has focused on sophisticated and complex litigation concerning issues of real estate, land use, construction, landlord and tenant, partnership, banking and employment.  Ms. Lord has extensive trial experience and has successfully represented national lenders, real estate developers, employers and numerous commercial landlords as well as tenants at trial.  Ms. Lord’s experience in real estate also includes a general transactional practice.

 Ms. Lord moved to Boulder in 1981 to attend the University of Colorado where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985.  She attended the University of Colorado School of Law and obtained her J.D. in 1989.  Ms. Lord was a member of the University of Colorado Law Review and graduated Order of the Coif.

 Ms. Lord is committed to community involvement.  She is an active member of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association and has served on its Board of Directors for four terms.  She chaired the Legal Services Committee of the Colorado Women’s Bar for two years.  Ms. Lord also served as co-chair of the Boulder County Bar Association Real Estate Section for two years.  Ms. Lord currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Lawyer Trust Account Foundation.  Over the years, Ms. Lord has participated in numerous pro bono legal services projects.  She was recognized by the Colorado Lawyer’s Committee as Individual of the Year, 1999, for her work as co-counsel on a successful class action challenge to constitutionally inadequate noticing procedures by certain social services departments.

 Ms. Lord was recognized as a Colorado “Super Lawyer” in 2006 and 2007 by her peers.
