Water Law Our water law attorneys are recognized authorities in Western water law. We have developed and implemented complex and innovative water supply plans (including domestic use and snowmaking supplies) for clients such as the Winter Park Ski Area; Eldora Mountain Resort, The Piney Valley Ranches Trust (owner of approximately 25% of the private land in Eagle County, Colorado); the Fairways at Pole Creek (9-hole addition to golf course and residential development in Grand County, Colorado); Sunnyside Ranch (800-acre luxury development near Telluride, Colorado) and numerous single-family subdivision properties throughout the state. Our water lawyers were intimately involved in the Clinton Reservoir-Fraser River Agreement making snowmaking water available to Winter Park Resort and numerous Summit County ski areas. This work has included complex water acquisitions, adjudication of augmentation and exchange plans, and water right analyses. Our firm also performs water rights title research in connection with large ranch acquisitions. Our water law practice often
complements the firm's ongoing real estate and land use work and provides clients with a full range of services on real estate-related projects.
